The first edition of our feature Loch Lomond & Clyde Guide will be published on 26th March 2010. The guide will tie together the wide variety of attractions, shopping, dining and outdoor activities available in and around the greater Loch Lomond area. The guide will feature the gateway areas of Lomond Shores and Balloch Town Centre as well as providing a snapshot view of the key destinations further afield such as Luss, Adlui, Balmaha, Drymen, Helensburgh and the gareloch area, all of which are key components of the destination. The guide will offer a comprehensive level of information in a easy format, and will seek to motivate visitors to visit and remain in the area. Key to this will be an extensive distribution plan, that will take advantage of Downtown CityMap's already established distribution network. By positioning the guide in a wide range of distribution points outside the immediate area a greater level of visability can be created enabling city visitors to see how easy it is to visit the area. It is intended that the guide will be produced three times per year (March, July & October), so as to remove the out-of-date notion of a "tourist season" and establish a "year round season" covering the ever changing variety of visitor coming to Scotland and especially Glasgow throughout the year. Encouraging city break visitors to visit Loch Lomond can create a huge, year round opportunity for all involved in business in this area. Flick through our initial design concept below and get a feel for the quality and content of this first edition. The guide is intended to be a handy snapshot of the best ideas when visiting the area. Our distribution, especially outside the area is intened to motivate visitors already in Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh or elsewhere to take the time to visit the Loch Lomond & Clyde area by showing them how easy it is to get here and what they can expect when they arrive. Our local distribution will enable local visitor providers to give guests an all-in-one guide which will enable them to learn about the area without the need to collect a load of individual printed material.
